The Old Timers led 9-3 and eventually won 10-7 to take a three games to one lead over the Pittsburgh Crawfords.
Billy Hamilton went 5 for 6 with two RBI. King Kelly had three hits and Roger Connor added a pinch-hit two-run homer for the Old Timers.
Oscar Johnson and Dobie Moore had four hits for the Crawfords. Moore doubled twice and drove in five runs.
On the mound Pud Galvin went six innings for the win, allowing three runs on nine hits. Bullet Joe Rogan has not not done well all tournament long and gave up seven runs on 10 hits in three innings.

The Old Timers hold on to win game five 7-6 and take the series over Pittsburgh.
A four-run seventh broke a 3-3 tie for the Old Timers. Dick Redding couldn't get out of that inning. A two-out RBI single by Cap Anson and an error made it 5-3. Billy Hamilton drove in two more runs before Redding got out it with the bases loaded.
Hamilton had four hits, George Davis, Ed Delahanty and Sam Thompson all had three hits.

Under rated series. It was close in almost every game, and it could have gone either way, and plenty of hits from both sides! Pittsburgh just needs a little better pitching and they could win some of these close ones!

The Post Americans fell behind early but used the long ball to come back and beat the Dead Ballers 9-6 in game one.
George Brett drove in five runs and homered along with Ted Williams. Hoyt Wilhelm worked three innings to save it for Whitey Ford.
Tris Speaker homered and had four RBI in the loss.

The Post Americans blew the game open with five runs in the sixth and went on to win game two 12-4.
Nolan Ryan went seven innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits with seven walks and nine strikeouts.
Rod Carew had three hits, Yogi Berra a three-run homer, and Reggie Jackson a pinch-hit two-run triple.
Tris Speaker homered and drove in three runs for the Dead Ballers.

The Dead Ballers finally got the good pitching they've had most of the tournament. Walter Johnson threw eight innings of three-hit ball in a 4-1 win.
Jim Palmer gave up two runs in five innings. The Dead Ballers scored two unearned runs off Hoyt Wilhelm in the ninth.
Al Kaline's pinch-hit home run was all the Post Americans could muster.

A great pitcher's dual and Hal Newhouser came out on top with a complete game 2-1 win for the Post Americans over the Dead Ballers.
Newhouser lowered his ERA almost an entire run to 5.11 in getting his first win of the tournament and tossing just the fourth complete game for the team. He allowed five hits and five walks.
Ed Walsh took the loss, going six innings and giving up one run on four hits with six strikeouts.
Ted Williams homered in the first and eighth innings for the Post Americans.

Another great pitching dual and Chief Bender came out on top of Whitey Ford by the score of 3-1. The Dead Ballers stay alive and go back home down three games to two in the series.
Bender took a shutout into the ninth but Harmon Killebrew went deep. George Sisler had three of his team's six hits.

A wild and crazy game six as the Post Americans rallied to tie the game in the ninth, but the Dead Ballers won in the final-at bat to force game seven.
The Post Americans broke through against Three Finger Brown in the seventh, scoring two runs. In the ninth, Robin Yount hit a three-run homer to tie the game 5-5.
Hoyt Wilhelm gave up a leadoff single to Eddie Collins in the bottom of the ninth. He stole second and Carlton Fisk's throw went into the outfield putting him on third base. Joe Jackson hit a flyball to right. Al Kaline set up for the throw home and Collins just made it in to win the game.
The Post Americans had three errors that cost them four unearned runs.
The Dead Ballers are 2-2 in game sevens this tournament. The Post Americans are 1-4 in game sevens.

The Post Americans outlasted the Dead Ballers in game seven as Rod Carew and Robin Yount each drove in three runs in a 13-5 win to take the series.
Jim Palmer worked six innings for the win with Catfish Hunter and Bob Feller mopping up. Walter Johnson was shelled for nine runs in six innings.

Ernie Lombardi homered and had three hits for the Pre-Nationals. Travis Jackson had three hits and two RBI. Lajoie drove in three runs for the Centurians.

A great pitching matchup went to the Centurians as Addie Joss topped Pete Alexander in game two, 4-2, and evened the series at one game apiece.
Joss gave up a two-run homer to Johnny Mize in the third, but went eight innings for the win. Jesse Burkett's home run in the seventh tied the game. Jake Beckley singled the go-ahead run home in the eighth, and Elmer Flick doubled an extra run across the plate in the ninth.

A back and forth game came down to the bottom of the ninth and Honus Wagner ripped the game-winning hit for the Centurians.
The game was tied 7-7 in the sixth inning. Dizzy Dean worked the eighth, but couldn't finish the ninth. Nap Lajoie doubled and Sam Crawford walked. Wagner belted a shot that nearly went out of the park but easily drove home Lajoie to win the game 8-7.
Lajoie had four hits and Wagner homered and drove in two runs. Kiki Cuyler and Rogers Hornsby had three hits apiece for the Pre-Nationals while Johnny Mize and Gabby Hartnett each went deep.

Cy Young pitched into the ninth inning and the Centurians take a 3-1 lead in the series with an 8-5 win over the Pre-Nationals.
The Centurians scored four in the first and never trailed again. Honus Wagner had two triples and Nap Lajoie and Jake Beckley hit home runs.
Christy Mathewson got the final two outs for the save. Jesse Haines allowed seven runs on 11 hits in six innings to take the loss.
