Willie Wells singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th as Kansas City topped the Dead Ballers 2-1.
In the last of the 10th, Wild Bill Wright singled with one out, stole second and went to third on the bad throw by Ray Schalk. Buck Leonard walked and Wells singled to win the game.
Jud Wilson came off the bench to drive in the tying run for the Monarchs in the bottom of the seventh.
The Dead Ballers left 14 men on base. Ty Cobb, Joe Jackson and Tris Speaker combined to go 0 for 15. George Sisler, Frank Baker and Joe Tinker all had three hits.

The Monarchs won a back and forth game two 6-4 over the Dead Ballers and lead the series two games to none.
A three-run bottom of the sixth gave Kansas City the lead for good. Bonnie Serrell and Willie Wells hit home runs and Buck Leonard and Turkey Stearnes each tripled.
George Sisler, Joe Jackson and Eddie Collins had triples for the Dead Ballers.

A close game turned into a blowout with seven unearned runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Dead Ballers beat Kansas City 12-4 and now trail the series two games to one.
Ted Trent relieved Satchel Paige with a 4-2 lead in the seventh. He didn't get an out, allowing three runs. The Dead Ballers scored seven unearned runs off Ray Brown in the eighth.

Three Finger Brown hurled a five-hit shutout and the Dead Ballers downed Kansas City 6-0 and now lead the series three games to two.
Brown walked one and struck out two. Ray Schalk's two-run homer in the second, his first of the year, gave the Dead Ballers a 4-0 lead.
The home team has won all five games of the series.

The Monarchs kept hanging in there and pulled out a 4-3 win in the bottom of the ninth to force a final game seven against the Dead Ballers.
A walk, single and sac fly in the bottom of the seventh tied the game 3-3 for Kansas City. Eddie Plank came on in the ninth for Walter Johnson and gave up the winning win. Ray Dandridge singled and Neil Robinson doubled off the bench. A ground out and line out with the infield in was followed by a single from Buck Leonard to win the game.

Walsh scattered eight hits, allowing a pair of solo home runs. Satchel Paige struck out 10 in the loss.

A crazy 10-inning game one that saw the Pre-Nationals come back to win 3-2 over the Pre-Americans.
Joe DiMaggio and Joe Cronin hit solo homers in the bottom of the second. The Pre-Americans had just four hits for the game against Pete Alexander, Eppa Rixey and Dizzy Dean.
The Nationals scored an unearned run in the sixth on an error by Babe Ruth. In the top of the ninth, an error on defensive replacement Earl Averill allowed the tying run to score.
Gabby Hartnett hit a solo homer off Ted Lyons for a 3-2 lead in the 10th.
Lefty Grove went eight innings for a no-decision, allowing one unearned run and only two hits.

A tremendous pitching matchup that Stan Coveleski came out on top by throwing a four-hitter in a 3-0 win for the Pre-Americans.
Dazzy Vance went seven innings and allowed one earned run and just three hits.
Vance walked a run home in the fifth. With two out in the seventh after an error on Frankie Frisch, Babe Ruth hit a two-run homer.
