Round 4 Series Recap
Game 1
Dead Ballers 9, Detroit 8
For Ty Cobb, this series was personal. He views it as him against the black players. Cobb came out of the gates fast with a base hit to score George Sisler in the bottom of the first. The fury came out when he was gunned down stealing second by Biz Mackey.
In the fourth, Cobb singled and this time was safe stealing second. On a single to rightfield by Frank Baker, Charles Blackwell threw Cobb out at home plate.
The Georgia Peach just missed a home run in the fifth, and grounded out his last at-bat. There was satisfaction for Cobb when "Shoeless" Joe Jackson hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Detroit Stars 9-8.
