A well pitched game went down to the ninth inning and a two-out single by George Sisler scored the winning run for the Dead Ballers in game one.
Chief Bender went five innings, allowing one unearned run for the Dead Ballers. A pinch-hit home run by Harry Hooper tied the game 1-1 in the top of the sixth.
A Max Carey pinch-hit single in the seventh gave the Dead Ballers a 2-1 lead. Gabby Hartnett's sacrifice fly off Eddie Plank tied the game again 2-2.
Eppa Rixey fell victim to his defense's lapse. An error on Rogers Hornsby started the top of the ninth. Ray Schalk singled, and Plank bunted to put runners at second and third. Ty Cobb lined out, then Sisler singled to drive in the go-ahead run.

An incredible game by Dazzy Vance as he throws a five-hitter and drives in the only run of the game in a 1-0 win over the Dead Ballers. The Pre-Nationals tie the series at one game apiece.
Vance was masterful, taking a perfect game into the seventh inning with two out before an infield single by Joe Jackson. Vance had no walks and struck out seven in tossing his second shutout of the tournament.
Walter Johnson took the loss, allowing a run-scoring single to Vance with two out in the fourth. The Big Train gave up seven hits in seven innings and only struck out one.

The Dead Ballers left 16 men on base and the Pre-Nationals took a 3-2 win in 11 innings. The Nationals lead the series two games to one.
Both teams got great starting pitching. Three Finger Brown allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings. Pete Alexander went eight innings and gave up one earned run on seven hits.
Rube Marquard gave up the 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth. A two-out RBI double by Tris speaker tied the game.
In the 11th, with two out Pie Traynor and Gabby Hartnett hit back to back doubles off Jack Chesbro to take a 3-2 lead. Dizzy Dean gave up a leadoff triple to Joe Jackson, but then retired Speaker, Frank Baker and Bobby Wallace to end the game.

Yet another one run game as Carl Hubbell outpitched Ed Walsh and the Pre-Nationals won 2-1, and now lead the series three games to one.
Hubbell allowed one run on five hits in six innings. Dizzy Dean threw three perfect innings of relief for the save. Walsh went seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits.
Rogers Hornsby singled home Paul Waner in the top of the first, but Walsh got out of a one-out bases loaded jam. A two-out double by Tris Speaker tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the first.
The eventual winning run came in the seventh on doubles by Frankie Frisch and Gabby Hartnett.

The Dead Ballers stay alive in game five with a 4-2 win over the Pre-Nationals.
Three straight hits in the top of the sixth by Rogers Hornsby, Bill Terry and Mel Ott gave the Pre-Nationals a 2-1 lead.
Burleigh Grimes relieved Jesse Haines in the seventh and gave up the lead. Joe Jackson homered to tie the game at 1-1 in the third, and doubled to tie it again at 2-2 in the seventh.
In the bottom of the eighth, Bobby Wallace drove in the go-ahead run with a single. Rube Marquard came on and allowed a sacrifice fly to pinch-hitter Max Carey.
Joe McGinnity handled the ninth for the save.
The Pre-Nationals return home leading the series three games to two.

The Pre-Nationals battled back to win game six 5-4 and take the series four games to two.
Dazzy Vance hurled a five-hit shoutout in game two, but the Dead Ballers were on him this time around. A four-run second innning served to end Vance's outing after three frames. Ray Schalk drove in two with a base hit, Walter Johnson hit a sacrifice fly, Joe Jackson plated the final run.
The Nationals' bullpen dominated the last six innings of the game. Eppa Rixey, Rube Marquard and Dizzy Dean worked six innings and allowed one hit and no walks.
Gabby Harnett cut the deficit to 4-2 with a double in the fourth. "The Big Train" lost the lead in the seventh. A walk to Mel Ott was followed by a triple from Paul Waner. Bill Terry tied the game with a sacrifice fly, then Chuck Klein blasted his 14th home run of the tournament to take the lead.
Series Notes Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker each were limited to four hits in the series. Chuck Klein hit his first home run in 17 games. The Pre-Nationals had 49 hits and 15 runs in the series. The Dead Ballers had 44 hits and 14 runs in the series.

I look forward to this next series. Yes, it is between teams who are struggling, but that is when you can see some pretty wild games too. I predict 4-1 Detroit though.

Game 1: Tom Williams goes seven innings for the Crawfords, giving up one run. Dobie Moore hit two home runs.
Game 2: A back and forth game with the Stars leading 3-0, then the Crawfords up 4-3. It was tied 5-5 and 6-6. Cristobal Torriente had two doubles and a home run and John Beckwith hit a three-run homer in the win for Pittsburgh.
After losing two games at home, the Stars won the first two games in Pittsburgh to even the series.
Game 3: Rube Foster pitched a complete game for the win. Detroit scored 13 runs in five innings before Bullet Joe Rogan threw four shutout innings of relief. Oscar Charleston had two doubles and a home run and Judy Johnson had five RBI.
Game 4: Nip Winters pitched seven innnings, allowing two runs as the Stars even the series. Charleston hit two home runs for Detroit.

The road team has won every game of this series. Detroit swept the Crawfords in Pittsburgh to take a 3-2 lead in the series, but Pittsburgh won game six in Detroit to force game seven.
Game 5: Detroit led 7-3 but Pittsburgh made it 7-6. John Donaldson and Bill Holland threw 3 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to give Rube Currie the win. Pop Lloyd had three hits and two RBI while Dick Lundy went 4 for 5 with a triple, home run and five RBI for the Stars.
Game 6: The Crawfords turned to Bullet Joe Rogan in the must-win game six, despite his pitching like crap the entire tournament. Rogan responded with a complete game for his first win of the tournament, allowing two runs on seven hits to beat Smokey Joe Williams 4-2.
In game seven it will be "Cannonball" Dick Redding for the Crawfords and Rube Foster for the Stars.

Game seven looked like a blow out, but the Pittsburgh rallied to within one run before coming up short. Detroit held on for a 7-6 win and take the series in seven games.
The Stars built a 7-0 lead after eight innings. Rube Foster took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and had only allowed two hits into the ninth. Pittsburgh nearly pulled off the comeback with six runs in the top of the ninth.
Spot Poles led off with a pinch-hit triple and scored on Pete Hill's single. A walk and RBI-double by Bullet Joe Rogan ended Foster's day. Frank Wickware tried to give this game up, after getting an out a run-scoring single and two-run homer by Dobie Moore made the score 7-6. John Donaldson came in and struck out Louis Santop, then Tank Carr kept things going with a pinch-hit double. Poles batted again and flew out to end the game.
The Crawfords were hindered by three errors that cost them two unearned runs.
Oscar Charleston had three more hits to finish the series 17 for 32, 10 runs, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs and nine RBI.
Judy Johnson went 13 for 29, 5 runs, 3 doubles and six RBI.

Game 1: A back and forth series opener that saw the Pre-Americans take the game in the bottom of the eight. Ted Lyons had blown the save in the top of the eighth, but a two-out RBI single by Al Simmons off John Clarkson gave the Pre-Americans a 4-3 lead.
Game 2: The Pre-Americans ran away late as a close 7-5 game became a 14-5 laugher. Babe Ruth hit a grand slam and a three-run homer to give him seven RBI. Lefty Grove pitched a complete game for the win. The Pre-Americans hit one home run off all four pitchers used by the Old Timers. Ed Delahanty had four hits for the Old Timers.

Game 3: The Pre-Americans gave its entire starting infield and catcher the day off. They knocked Tim Keefe out of the game after five innings following Babe Ruth's second grand slam in as many days. Candy Cummings couldn't hold a late lead for the Old Timers.
Game 4: Al Spalding had the Old Timers up 2-0, but a four-run eighth put the Pre-Americans in front 5-2. Rick Ferrell hit a three-run homer to give the Pre-Americans the lead.

Series is tied one game apiece

Game 1: Pitching dominated the series opener with Big Bill Foster going eight innings, giving up 10 hits and four walks but only one run for the Grays. Willard Brown hit a two-run homer in the top of the first for Washington.
Game 2: A ridiculous back and forth slugfest with nine home runs hit in the game. Cristobal Torriente's two-run homer for Pittsburgh tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the eighth. Washington went ahead 10-7 in the top of the 11th on the third home run of the game by Josh Gibson.
The Crawfords scored four in the bottom of the 11th to win the game. Roosevelt Davis faced five batters and didn't record an out. He walked a run home, Spot Poles singled a run in and a wild pitch tied the game. Bill Byrd came on, still with no out, and intentionally walked Bullet Joe Rogan to load the bases. Torriente and Pete Hill each lined out, but Frank Warfield singled to win the game.

My predictions:
