It's still a cool thing.I never actually met him but the lead guitarist of Metellica lived in the next town. The REAL Hardbody Holly took care of his horses.I saw him once driving a white limo and smoking pot with his friend. Are you sure he was driving with his friend and it wasn't YOU smokin' pot, Dr B? Kidding, we know you wouldn't do that, haha!

Honestly he'd just been to the music store and I got there right as they were pulling out. Not everyone drives a white caddy stretch limo.😎

Cool! If I had the money, I'd be in Hollywood dating all the hot actresses, and a limo would be my chariot!

Might be your last chance. They've been talking finale for 2 years now.I think they shoot in Burbank or Studio City. There's no way they'll get cast as other characters now they're ingrained on the American Public.

They'll be portraying the same characters for the next 50 years, I'm sure! Just like Leonard Nimoy & William Shatner!
Although, I can't see the appeal of an 82 year old Kaley Cuoco, haha!

Type casting sucks but it's a fact of life. I know some celebs that pretty much have to keep playing their character, because no one would pick them up for parts outside of their TV personas.

Ok I mentioned I saw Minnesota Wrecking Crew vs The Rock & Roll Express in a Cage for The NWA Tag Titles.I did further research today.Somethings wrong here.
The match took place at Starrcade 86.BUT Vince and WWE.com edited the match and changed the ending. The REAL ending is Morton gets beat up so badly he climbs out of the cage and runs away.(Keep in mind this is before WWF decided to have that option)The ending that's on the match on youtube, has Gibson (in illegally) hitting Ole in their corner, while Arn gets Morton up for a second spinebuster.Gibson dropkicks them Ricky falls on Arn 1-2-3...
I remember the match because it was my favorite R&R Express match. They totally sold the beat Morton because he's the smallest gimmick well. The fans were legitimately angry. Now with that said...knowing how booking was in 86 they never would have gone with an anti-climatic "botch" pin.
I remember Ole and Arn kind of half heartedly hitting Gibson. No one knew what was going on.The Ref tells them to pin Gibson to get a solid win.
Tampering with finishes is unethical and just wrong for wrestling fans who followed it faithfully in the old days.
Next time...why Andre was a racist 7 foot bully and who stood up to him.

Revisionary wrestling? Okay THAT'S a new one! Or maybe not. Remember when the MegaPowers disbanded? Macho Man hitting Hogan with the Belt backstage where Elizabeth was being cared for... If you saw that broadcast live, Brutus Beefcake came in just before Macho Man laid it in on Hogan, and left because he entered too soon. Then, when the summary of the night appeared on other WWF programming, Beefcake was nowhere to be found until his scheduled entrance to break things up. Also, in the Hulk Hogan DVD, when Hogan won the AWA Heavyweight Belt, the WWE threw in Hogan's "Real American" theme! He didn't have that theme until long after he won the WWF Belt and Barry Windham (who, along with Rotundo, the theme song was for) left the WWF! Imagine my surprise when I heard that theme song at that moment, oh my! As for the scene you described, Dr B, I wasn't aware of that! I never bought PPV's back then, and never saw the event on home video, so I wouldn't know! Makes me wonder what has and has not been retconned in the (Vince's version of) history of wrestling. Hmmmm... Speaking of the Beefcake botch, here it is in all it's glory, apparently only aired on the East Coast! It's at 33:50, and I bet it's NEWS TO YOU, Dr B (and if DailyMotion doesn't show up in the post, here's the link first: www.dailymotion.com/video/x56gp54 ):

That was a fun video, well except for Hogan winning the match. Big Bubba and One Man Gang, imagine if it was in Midsouth or JCP territories...How much of that was scripted and how much was real animosity?Where was the other wrestlers? They sent Patterson and Okerlund to help.haha Didn't do that same schtick in WCW?
So anyway if you ever see a Best of Starrcade vhs buy it!Bunch of great matches. The 1st ever I Quit match the ending is barbaric.

Glad you enjoyed the video, Dr B! Thank goodness for the internet, otherwise you wouldn't even be aware of the Beefer's botch, haha! (And we wouldn't be posting on such a great Board!)
The Starrcade match I was most interested in was the Night of the Skywalkers! LoD VS MEx on the scaffold! I knew someone was gonna get hurt, and I wanted to see it! When I finally did see it, it was boring as h*ll, except for the injury to Cornette, haha! Cornette: "Bubba lost me in the lights", hilarious!

It's true Bubba couldn't see good to begin with, lights in his eyes...He was ready but Cornette was nowhere near him.No one else got hurt.

I've seen the video clip of that a couple of times, LOL Bubba!
Anyway, here's one of my all-time fave arcade games! None other than TAG TEAM WRESTLING!
My best score was getting up to Match 22, I think!

Outside of the fact it was always the same guys,I had fun playing that game.I still have the Cart somewhere.I amassed 75 wins in one setting.I quit playing because there is no winning page.It just continues. The secret was beating the opponent up outside the ring and at the last minute jumping back in.
