Okay it's still less than a week and I beat the game that took me 5 years to beat the 1st time!
This is The Dragon Quest version,a snes game.Translated in Brazil.Erdrick is Roto,Gwalin is Laura,
The towns have different names and a lot of the cool monsters are missing.Druin are meda,there
are Kiss Dragons and the red dragons had a different name.Lots of Demon Knights and Hade's
Knights.
Fighting The Dragonlord is more exciting in the nes version.It seems to me The Dragonlord was
a lot tougher than DQ's Dragonking.
In DQ's favor 100% better graphics,music is well orchestrated,the hackers made it so you don't lose anything when you die in action.The monsters have an elevated amount of exp points.I could achieve the next level just fooling around!Overall Dragon Quest SNES gets a B-.

BTW, I looked into DragonQuest 9 and it's only on the DS, so no DQ9 for me. 
Right now, I'm finishing up a season of Madden 10 with my custom team and will post a highlight reel when the season's over! It should turn out good!
After that, I still have Ghostbusters and LEGO Indiana Jones to play through!

I beat DQ 1,then I started,DQ2 (Hopefully I can find the last boss this time.),DQ 5 and DQ 6!
5 and 6 are starting out good.Totally unlike the earlier games.Way cooler storylines.
In 5 The hero and his Father go to this small country to fight the evil minions of Hargon.
In 6 the hero and his sister live in a small mountain town.The hero needs to sell art items
to raise money for a Festival.6 has a bunch of new monsters!Armour and weapons are both
inexpensive so far.I went from a Cypress Stick right to a Copper Sword.
I'm also taking another crack at Dragon Warrior IV.The last of the NES DW games.It wasn't
supposed to get released because of cooperate disputes between ENIX and Squaresoft and
Bird.I found a site with maps and walkthrus hopefully I can find my way out of that 1st castle...

Okay so Dragon Quest VI is THE DAD-GUMMEST game I have ever played.I'm on level 16 got through the tunnels and fought Mudo!(who I thought was the game boss,he's not)Even if I could defeat Mudo (which I can't yet) it's not the end like I thought,it's the begining of the adventure!This game is really involved!It's gonna take me another week or so to get to the end of this one!Great monsters in this game!Some of them are hard to kill especially those Stone Dragons!

Dragon Quest VI is definately the best of the series so far...I have a feeling I'm gonna have to face The Real Mudo somewhere at the end of this one!

I think Zelda: The Octurian of Time was like that. Where you had to face a weaker version of the bad guy early on, then his "true" form as the final boss of the game.
I'm hacking my way through Tiger Woods '99 right now, not doing too well. I'm one under par after the second round of a 4 round tournament, while the leaders are 8 under! Oh well, time to go back to Tiger Woods '08! 
In a bit of a drought as far as new games go. The next new one I want is Dead Rising 2, a zombie-killing game coming out Sept 28.
Anyway, good luck with fighting that boss' true form!

I TRY to play Tiger Woods Tour (Europe) with the emulator I have...and I suck! After 3 holes I am done. Maybe, if I have 3 hours to spare I will try to play 18 holes. |

I tried playing the golf games.I was pretty good at Pebble Beach nes.I downloaded a Hawaii Open gba...I could even get the danged ball out of the rough!
WTIC-
So I've gotten past this one part where you have to battle dragon hatchlings to get to the full grown dragon.Terry (Star of Dragon Warrior Monsters gba) beat the Dragon before me and got the Thunder Sword,which kinda ticked me off.But I guess that means he'll join our party somewhere at the end of the game.This is intense.Now I'm just roaming around building my exp point because I can't find the island with the stairway that leads to the next adventure.
Speaking of Zelda.I'm gonna have to play that again and findout where the good sword is hidden in the 2nd game.I went all the way to the end with a wooden sword!You can't kill the last boss with a wooden sword.I need a white sword but have no idea where it's located.The ending of the 1st game was spectacular.The ending of Adventures of Link was dissapointing after that...

Zelda games are usually good quality and fun!
Tax-free weekend here in MA this weekend! Might pick up some more games! (MA sales tax is at 6.25%, sheesh! Used to be only 5%, at least no sales tax this weekend!)

So I defeated The Three Trials in The Baptisimal Cave.I received a Magic Key for getting The Prince Holse baptized so he can be the next king of Holscott.Made my way to a magic cottage beat a Well Mimic to get access to Clear Vale.Will this adventure never end?
I have to checkout some of the snes Zelda games.The ones I downloaded for gba are great.I keep egtting stuck...
