My passion for video gaming is near dead, I just don't have the drive to play like I did 10 even 20 years ago. I still play Animal Crossing Wild World on the Nintendo DS, I've had a town going for over a year now. I have Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for the PS2 which is awesome, I have created my own wrestlers and I have a Ultimate AWA edit pack ( Edit Packs are the official name ) with 144 and growing roster.
I did play several games on the Wii but as above my drive to play is very low, but I've played all the LEGO games for that system and those were fun.
Here are some classic games I've loved...
EA Sports NCAA College Football EA Sports Rugby EA Sports NHL EA Sports FIFA Soccer

Crimson Cross- Actually I don't actually play the games anymore.I use CP vs CP a lot in order to sim the games.I am truly astonoished at how far the gaming community has come with "random" intellegence.
Fire Pro is amazing! You may or may not know that I was one of the Pioneers of Text Based Sims in the 90s and early 2000s.Firepro does what my sims could never do it shows you the match instead of telling about it in text.
I was never good at the build a city and watch it's progess games.I always got bored. That's why I stunk at Tamogachi.
EA Sports Games ROCK!My Soccer and College Football programs are from EA Sports.Graphic are great for 16 bits games music is good too!The SNES EA Sports games get an A from me.
LEGO on Wii,haven't played either but it must be addicting if you've played every one!I've heard great things about Wii Tennis. The keyboard player in my band plays with his wife a lot.
My Top Games right now: 1.Firepro/Super Firepro series (gba/snes) 2.Smash Tennis (snes) 3.Bill Walsh's College Football (snes) 4.FICA International Soccer (snes) 5.Tecmo Baseball (nes/snes) 6.Tecmo Basketball (nes/snes) 7.Tecmo Super Bowl (nes/snes) 8.Super Ice Hockey (snes) 9.Jikkyou Power Pro Wrestling - Max Voltage (very realistic,Japanese Announcer calls the matches) (snes) 10.JWP Joshi Pro Wrestling - Pure Queens Wrestling (worth it just to watch the cool moves) (snes)
Legends of Boxing is fun too, even though I actually have to play it!hahaha!

WTIC- I knew you would follow me here.Yes you are really the resident gamer.
Tell us a bit about Rogue Galaxy.I'm guessing Space War game maybe a shoot 'em up?I've never even heard of that one.
You mentioned TNA Wrestling is it good enough that I should get an emulator and download the rom?
Okay Guitar Hero...BOO!Pay me $50 and I'll teach you how to play those songs for real!Honestly...
You guys have to experience this Jikkyou Power Pro Wrestling - Max Voltage! The matches are at a more realistic pace than Firepro. It's slower, excellent wrestling moves! All the Japanese guys wrestle. There's never any rule breaking unless you are in Hardcore or Deathmatch mode or if you're using the "American" wrestlers.(There's a bunch of white guys I'm assuming they're Americans, one resembles Boogie Woogie Jimmy Valiant.Another guys resembles Flair a little.)
Watching this game is like watching HCW or old IWGP.The matches are very Japanese in nature. They are wrestling competition not "sports entertainment".Matches are won and lost with wrestling!Graphics are good so simming and watching is really enjoyable! There's an overly excited Japanese Announcer.I don't speak Japanese but I can make out bow-dee sla-mu!dro-pkiku!and ehr-boe!Actually pretty advanced for a 16 Bit snes game done in 96!
This is the only wrestling game I know of that rivals FirePro.There aren't as many features. But you can have 1 on 1,2 on 2 or 3 on 3 matches. The Deathmatch is really cool you slam, kick, elbnowsmash, powerbomb etc your opponent to the point that he can't beat a 10 count!Patterned after The Texas Deathmatch.
The Hardcore Match is fast paced and pretty radical. This is when what little cheating in this game happens most. It's FCA so the fight goes to the floor a lot.The matches don't tend to be to long maybe only 5 or 6 min but it's Hardcore Smashmouth wrestling! There is no blood in this game.Bummer but what do you expect.
The Referee for this game is the best I've seen! He's constantly checking for a pin or submission.Very realistic Ref!
Okay that's it for now I'll talk about:JWP Joshi Pro Wrestling - Pure Queens Wrestling. It's not quite as good as FirePro Joshi All Star Dream Slam or Queens Edition but it is definately worth playing.I'll tell you why next time!

Rogue Galaxy is an RPG game. You start out as this guy Jaster Rogue on a dessert planet. You fight some big salamander and then jet off in a big boat into outer space as a pirate, LOL! That's about as far as I've gotten. The reviews for the game are very favorable. For more:

As for TNA Wrestling, I've only played the first two matches. Can't tell you whether it's good or not, I picked it up used on sale, so the price was right, hehehehee! For more:

Disaster- I believe you were the one that was really into M.U.S.C.L.E. and the action figures and stuff.I have something for your collection.I downloaded a Famicon Game called "Kinnikuman: Dirty Challenger ".As I thought it's the same guys! The game looks a little like Mortal Kombat or Final Fight.SNES/Famicon so it has very nice 16 bit graphics.Only set back,I can't read Japanese. But it was easy enough to figure out!PM me if you are interested!

So the last time I told you there was no blood in Jikkyou Power Pro Wrestling,I was wrong. There is a Deathmatch mode that has the ring surrounded by electrified ropes. The ring is surrounded by sections of gravel. If a wrestler falls out of the ring and tries to walk on the gravel, pyros go off and blow him up.
In the match I was playing out one guy fell out and got blown up,his opponent came out to brawl,he got blown up.The 1st guys walks to the side of the ring to climb back into he set off 5 more charges. Both guys are covered with blood from getting blown up!The 1st guy gets pinned,he can't fight back because he's injured so bad!WOW!
Okay I said I'd tell you about JWP-Pure Queen Wrestling. The action isn't as smooth as the Fire Pro Joshi games and there no music. On the up side, the holds look really good.Because it's Japanese it displays more wrestling.Although, the wrestlers do slap each other a lot, there isn't any real brawling. It is wrestling competition, the matches really show you what Japanese wrestling is all about.
There are 1 on 1 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 matches. No gimmick match in this one.The wrestlers are actual wrestlers from All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) Women. The pace of the match is slower than Fire Pro,it gives it a more realistic feel.Overall I give this game a B +!
I also found one called Zennihon Pro Wrestling - Budoukon. This is the 1st ever video game I've seen that explores booking whole shows, rather than single matches.
This is a fed owned by Giant Baba. There's wrestlers from NJPW with guys like Hanson,Gordy,Dr Death,Bobby Eaton and Tommy Dreamer. If the matches you book are good you'll have a capacity crowd at the end of the night. If the fans don't like your matches, they'll walk out.I've lost over a forth of the fans on an uninteresting match. It's really hard to get them to come back.I did however manage to get most of the crowd to come back once. They came back to see Dr Death vs Gordy, but the match after that was 2 Japanese guys so the fans left again.
I was really impressed by how this Booker Sim was put together.Graphic are okay. You can tell who's who.But the graphics could be better.Action is good smooth, natural looking wrestling. It's written in Japanese so I can't tell how good or bad Giant Baba thinks my cards are,but hey I give this one an A!
Next time...Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden - Blizzard Yuki Rannyuu!! and Gekitou Burning Pro Wrestling.

Those games sound pretty good, Dr B! I like the idea of explosions during a match, LOL!
The crowd walking out on you, oh my! Reminds me of Smackdown VS Raw General Manager mode, where you set the matches and are given a number of stars for each match rating on how good or bad the match is. You can get a sense on what matches are good and what ones aren't.
Keep us updated on your wrestling game adventures, Dr B!
Oh, and a little update of my own: I just picked up the "Hitman Trilogy" for PS2! Haven't played them all yet, but I did have Hitman 2 a few years back. Good stealth game, really had me thinking because you have to get to your target without making noise or alerting others of your presence, and you get to strangle your target to death, which is always fun!
On Rogue Galaxy, I have leveled up to Level 36, explored 4 planets, and am now on a quest to get an ancient tablet that will reveal a map to the treasure-filled mystical world of Eden! So far, so good!

WTIC- Jikkyou Max Voltage gets an A+ for gruesome!Every step there was another explosion! It was radical. There was another game I downloaded that I threw back. You wrestled this sumo guy,but if you got pushed out of the circle there were explosive that blew you up!The concept was cool, but it doesn't play well on my computer.
The crowd walking out reminded me of Fire Pro in the Evaluation Mode where the fans rated how good your match was.The fans booed my hardcore matches!Although they did cheer when Mr Neil passed The Hardcore Challenges with an 85%!
I downloaded about 4 more that I play alot.I recently got a new GBA one,Shin Nihon Pro Wrestling - Toukon Retsuden Advance. In various places in the ring you see the company logo "B.V.D".I don't know if it was intentional or they don't know that's an underwear company in America.Anyway turns out the game is quite good.
Hitman Trilogy? They're selling that stuff to kids? That sounds crazier than the one where you are a criminal in LA and run around shooting people, ripping off prostitutes and stealing things.
Rogue Galaxy sounds like oneheuva Space RPG!

Okay I'm going to talk about a series of games that are all related.Super Wrestle Angels,Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden - Blizzard Yuki Rannyuu!!,Stardust Suplex and Nage Libre. The 1st 3 are wrestling games, but Nage Libre is a Fighting RPG. All star an Anime character named Yuki. Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden - Blizzard Yuki Rannyuu!! and Stardust Suplex are your average wrestling video games. Anime looking graphics lots of wrestlers to choose from.I only recognise some as being real wrestlers.Moves are depicted very well in these games.Sweet looking suplexes and powerbombs!Killer Ensui Giri!Easy to use fun to play! Now Nage Libre and Super Wrestle Angel are different in that they are based on Japanese Card Games.Like Pokemon sort of.You have attack, defense,MP,Special and cards. You select a card to fight or defend against the opponent. Super Wrestle Angel is a wrestling game. You play the matches out as a card game. The graphics are classic stop action Anime. It'll display pics of what's about to happen, then you see a pic of the hold being executed.Graphics are excellent! You've got 1 on 1,Tag Team and 6 Women Tag Team Matches. There's also a quick tounament mode where you pick the wrestlers and the game shows you results of each match and who is The Champion or Champions. Also in this game there is a Career Mode that plays like an RPG.You train and your team has matches with other teams.Competition is tough and sometimes your best wrestlers lose. But that's reality... Okay finally,my favorite of the bunch,Nage Libre! In this one Yuki is a High School Girl.On level one she enters the schoolyard and must fight 6 other girls to get to the schoolhouse. She has to beatup a Nun who is the level boss. She makes friends with Ryoko.Level two more of the same inside the schoolhouse Yuki and Ryoko have to beatup a bunch of girls to make it into the classroom and beatup the teacher who is the level boss.So far I've only made it to level 7.There are 23 levels in this game.In the end your team consists of Yuki, Ryoko, Mai, Ayaka and Miki. You get Mai to join your team on level 3. The funny part of this game is that these schoolgirls hitting each other with schoolbags, basketballs, tennisballs, hula hoops, mostly stuff you'd find in gym class. Some of the Level Bosses have rockets. If you play your cards right and remember that it's a team effort you can't lose.BTW on Level 3 if you attack the Level Boss before your whole team is on the plateau with you,she cast a spell and sends you back to the begining of the level again!Great game! Okay I finished Nage Libre last night.Level 20 - 23 are extra hard because you have way more opponents and they are for the most Higher Level fighters averaging between 175 and 180 hit points. The real frustrating thing is that if you kill a minor boss to early on these levels The Main Boss brings everyone back.
Because of this I had to split my forces.I had to send 3 girls forward and 2 girls back to clean up the fighters that were revived. The Main Bosses ranked .My guess is that their hit points were in the 300s.One of my fighters had mostly defensive moves.Ability to heal or aquire a defense sheild or change into more protective clothing. It was frustrating not to have attack cards to use.
Level 23 is a split level you fight your way to what you think is the main boss only to find that in order to win the game you must defeat the bosses of Yumika Hazuki, Himeka Aoki, Kirika Fujisaki, Fake - Ayaka Sakurai, Kirika Fujisaki, Keiko Onda, Sara Mikigen, Aria, Kyouko Mikigen, Kirika Fujisaki, Mami Saotome, Mami Saotome, Saty, Tsukiyomi, Misti, and Nage.
All are super strong!Nage is a some sort of Goddess of the Sea.She uses her trident to summon lightning to sap your hit points. Here you must play defensively.Use magic to restore your hit points when you can.Use SPECIAL, high range attack and cards to whittle away at Nage. She will fall eventually.
Great RPG/Fighting game!Battle Grounds are nice!Nage's Castle is spectacular!I give this one a B +.Could've been more plot twists.Well it is written in Japanese. All that stuff they were saying may have been quite exciting but I'll never know.
The game ends with Nage's Island sinking into the sea and The 5 Girls being chased by a shark to a deserted island while the closing credits roll.

Sounds good, Dr B!
Rogue Galaxy update: Got to the final boss! As it turns out, there are 9 boss battles in a row BEFORE you get to the final boss, so you only have a limited supply of heal items (limit cap). You have to finish off the first 9 bosses and can't save at any time before that. So I tried a few times and couldn't make it. I may try again, but I'm not about to waste my time now on dieing every time on the 8th boss without making it to the final boss.
Playing Guitar Hero 5 now, on Medium. That's fun! I could never play on expert though, that's way too tough for me!
