I was watching it on WTBS when it aired.Great heel turn, but Funk wasn't doing anything that required Luger's assistance.

Yep! Lugar used to turn every 6 months or so, back and forth! I guess they never did figure out if he should be fan fave or rule breaker!

Black Saturday WTBS

The GCW Fans would have nothing to do with WWF style wrestling entertainment.

They musta been SUPER p.o'ed, LOL! I know I would be!
Vince did win eventually. So much for Pro Wrestling, now it's just "sports entertainment".
Oh well. *shrugs*

Vince K McMahon went directly against his father's wishes and sucked a lot of the other companies talent away.He also separated Titan Sports from The NWA.Forcing people to watch your product doesn't make it a superior project.

Exactly.
Well, today's wrestling just isn't for us, I guess. I had much more fun with my feds than watching anything Vince put out in the last 12 years!

The best wrestling on the net is the old territorial stuff.I even like McMahon Sr's WWWF.Most of them are on YouTube.

Yes. I've been watching the old WWF stuff from the early 80's on Youtube. Snuka as a rule-breaker, Superstar Graham with the karate gimmick, Eddie Gilbert as a jobber, etc. That was when I first started watching the WWF since it was the only wrestler on up here!
I only wish my best friend in high school would take me to see wrestling when he went, but it wasn't until '89 that we went together. I would've enjoyed seeing Capt Lou, Graham, Snuka, etc back then!

Snuka worked for Southpac Wrestling here. The only real talent was Snuka and the owner Superfly Tui.He wasn't bad had to be in his 50s by then.I used to see Snuka,Sakalia and other wrestlers from that promotion riding in the back of an old red pickup truck when I was doing my deliveries.

The Super Machines vs Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami youtu.be/qNghH-1KD7wyoutu.be/zC2TBJiHSHYI saw The Super Machines destroy Tor Kamata and Mr Tanaka on the 1st edition of Pro Wrestling Hawaii in the mid 80s.I have no idea who these guys are but I was impressed. They have nothing to do with Super Strong Machine.Similar Gimmick but no connection. Dr B Never heard of Superfly Tui, sorry. Snuka in a truck? I can't seem to picture that, LOL! The best I can picture is Capt Lou driving some beat up car with Snuka sneering out the window when he was a rule-breaker in the WWF!

Super Fly Tui was a Samoan guy.I don't think he wrestled much outside of the Pacific territories.
I think his biggest match was Haze in a Cage.Mark Lewin and Tui had a bloody battle.
I tried using CC on those vids. The Captions were in Japanese,worthless...

Yeah I know of Mark Lewin. I think he was in WCCW in the mid-80s. I do remember him feuding with someone (I forget who) and seeing the pictures of him all bloody in the Apter mags!
Where's the Babel Fish (from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) when you need it? LOL! (A Babel Fish would translate whatever language into your spoken language. The only thing is, you have to put the fish in your EAR! Ewwwww!)

Anyway, as for classic wrestling vids...
Here are my two favorite heel turns ever in wrestling:
First up, The Horsemen kick out Sting at Clash of the Champions 10 (start at 2:34) :
And Paul Orndorff turning on Hogan (start at 8:43) :
