So what do people think of Shimmer? I like it, but see some good and not so good things about it. Lots of good wrestlers and matches. I think only having 3 or 4 tapings a year hurts in that there's really very little in the way of angles and feuds. Now every taping is a double shot on Saturday and Sunday, so they have four dvds tapes after each weekend.

I love Shimmer, but you are right, it is mostly to make DVDs and not to continue storylines. I personally believe they may have spread themselves too thin. I would rather have the best in the business instead of a lot of the lesser talent. But then again, Portia Perez has gotten better, so there is hope for anyone. And how in the world is Daizee Haze's official card have her as a 7 (4) anyway? In MY own personal view 8 (5) is where the not-much talented go (GI Ho, Tai Weed, Becky Bayless); 7 (4) the below average go (insert a lot of rookies here); 6 (3) is the average wrestler, could have above average skills but just haven't caught a break (Cindy Rogers, Daize Haze, Mickie Knuckles); 5 (2) is above average and headliners (Mercedes Martinez, MsChif, Cheerleader Melissa); 4 (1) are those who have nothing more to prove, they are the BEST the sport has to offer (Fabulous Moolah, Mildred Burke, Trish Stratus). I did the stats for Haze. I put a lot of weight into the pin rating when I'm doing a card. I don't like balancing a card for LOW like you can for the GWF. A 4 pin goes to most indy wrestlers simply because they probably haven't done much in the sport, and I also have to look at who the name is and where are they in the history of wrestling. So for Haze, she has put her time in now and been around different places. If the card was coming out now I might give her a 3 pin. I did do something a little different with one down on lvl. 2 and only one on lvl 3 as she always takes a beating but keeps coming back. She was released with Del Rey who I gave a 3. I wanted to give her a 2 pin but figured it get changed after I sent the stats in.

Leva Bates is a new favorite of mine because her ring gear at WSU earlier this month was Iron Man, complete with kids mask she wore to the ring. She also wrote and drew her own comic book. Athena looks like a good up and coming young star.
