TRANSFORMERS 2:
Okay, I liked this one a bit more than the first one, mainly because Megan was bouncing all over the place, LOL!
A bit more complex than the first one, no longass John Voight scenes, so that was good, and under 2 1/2 hours, yay!
I'm just hoping Megan doesn't get killed off in 3, but we will see!

I recently picked up a couple of movies at a tag sale: Psycho 2 and Videodrome! I've watched Psycho 2 again and here's my review:
Although it doesn't compare to Hitchcock's masterpiece "Psycho", on its own, Psycho 2 is a good film. Anthony Perkins gives a strong and believable performance as the maligned and disturbed Norman Bates. Funny to see Dennis Franz in this before NYPD Blue, he played a low-life very well here!
The plot went something like this: Norman is released from the Psych ward about 22 years after the original movie, restored to sanity! He starts work at a nearby small cafe as a chef's assistant. He meets a young woman Mary, played by Meg Tilly. Mary, has a fight with her boyfriend and decides to take Norman up on his offer to stay at the Bates Motel. She takes a room upstairs at the old house, and Norman is a gentleman. Later, it turns out that Mary and her mom, Lila from the first movie, are trying to drive Norman insane again. Mary feels guilty about it and is starting to like Norman. She covers for him when a boy is killed in the house's basement after Mary locked Norman in the attic. Lila is furious that Mary covered for Norman and goes into overdrive to drive Norman crazy. Norman, feeling a bit out of control, begins to think that his mother is alive and is doing the killing. The sheriff finds Dennis Franz's car in the swamp and him dead inside. Mary tries to get Norman to leave, knowing he's in trouble. Norman refuses and when the phone rings, Norman is convinced that his mother is on the phone. Mary, dressing up like Norman's mother, stands in front of him and tells him to put the phone down, but Norman won't. Mary goes upstairs to use the phone there to get Norman to put the phone down. Just then... well, I won't spoil what went on after that! It was mayhem after that, LOL!
Anyway, I liked this when it first came out, and still do! My fave part of seeing it in the theater was when the boy and girl were in the cellar before the boy was killed, the girl picks up a potato with all the thingees growing out of it, and a girl in the audience goes, "Ewwww, it's a heart!" and her friend replied, "It's a POTATO, stupid!" LMAO!
Good performances all around in the movie! I especially liked Meg Tilly here. I had forgotten how very cute she was way back then! I would give this movie a very solid 4-stars, but the surprise ending gets 5-stars! Videodrome to be reviewed soon!
Yeah I know Meg's sis Jennifer Tilly is hotter, but... Forgot how cute Meg was? Here's a pic --

Psycho 2 I don't remember if I watched that one.I do vaguely remember something called "Bate's Motel".The original Psycho still has an impact everytime I take a shower..."Weee...Weee...Weee..."

Bates Motel was NOT good at all. Psycho 3 was uneven but enjoyable. Can't say the same for Psycho 4 though.
And I'm scared to death to take a shower at a motel!!

Just a quick note about the Huge pilot episode...
I watched it at Hulu.I was appalled at how they portraited the fat kids. The main character Wilamena aka Wil was written as a Drug Pusher that sold snacks instead of drugs. The girl from Good Luck Charlie was a co star.Excellent actress! All the main characters were excellent.Even though I didn't agree with the way they portraited Fat Kids,I was not offended enough to turn it off.The show has potential.

I'm listening to Ray Parker jr's Ghostbusters theme right now, and I remember hearing a rumor about Ghostbusters 3, so I looked it up on imdb! Sure enough, there's a listing of it, yay!
Rumored to be in it are Eliza Dushku and Anna Faris, two of my fave babes, yippee! I hope they are in the movie, I saw the original Ghostbusters in the theater, and would see 3 in the theater if those two are in it!

Sigourney looked great in GalaxyQuest and Heartbreakers! Wow!
Meanwhile, with a cast that includes Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Jeff Fahey, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Lindsay Lohan and Don Johnson, the movie MACHETE will either be a kickbutt movie or very campy! Either way, I'm there! Check out the trailer:

I just watched "Whip-It"!Starring:Ellen Page,Drew Barrymore and Juliette Lewis!Drew Barrymore Produced this film! Skating,Catfights and cool love scenes, what more can you ask for!The only thing this movie lacked was a Big Finale Match Race between Babe Ruthless (Ellen Page) and Maven (Juliette Lewis).Instead The Hurl Scouts (Page's Team) loses to The Holy Rollers (Lewis' Team) and they become 3 time champions. There is a bit where Juliette gives the ,"You did good kid..." speech,it all seemed anticlimactic though. If there is a "Whip-It 2" it'd make this movie really worth watching. But despite,Ellen Page,Drew Barrymore and Juliette Lewis excellent performances,I still got to give this film a C.There was so much more that they should have done.Starts out strong but there is no "F-Yeah" in the end and I for one was disappointed!

Agreeing completely with you on that, Dr B! Since Ellen Page is my current fave actress, of course I saw the movie!
Also of note, Drew Barrymore directed it (first time she has directed), and she did a very good job! Ellen looked super-cute, loved the scene in the pool (yeah, you know the one)!
The movie should have been funnier too. But, any true fan of Ellen's should see this despite it's faults!

I really liked that movie.Juliette Lewis was so mean to Ellen Page!Who knew Drew Barrymore could skate much less direct!Pretty coll character that Drew played. When she kicked the skates out from under that girl...wow that's what you go to roller derby to see!
I still would've liked to see a match race.Like KC Bomber with Racheal Welsh.Ellen Page could never take Juliette in a fist fight though!
