I created Brickhouse Waldo with the idea of him being in the same personage of a Haystacks Calhoun. Big guy who can take a lot of punishment and give it back too. Who could hold the belt, but was okay not having it. And someone who could potentially shine in tag matches. He could be any race you want him to be. I have no problem with him being black.

I thought of him as the AWE's Brickhouse Brown.Big local talent but not a major superstar.
