LOD rules!
CARD 49: AWE TV Taping on Sunday November 22, 2009 @ the Curtis D. Menard Sports Center in Wasilla AK
”You know something, brother,” Jimmy Snuka started as the night began. “Lex Luger thinks he has what it takes to defeat The Superfly! He thinks I’m not smart enough to take his prized possession from him. Well, I’ve got a surprise for you, brother: The Superfly is going to beat you and take that Belt from you! The Superfly is here, brother! And I’m coming after YOU!”
MATCH 1: "Flyin'" Brian Pillman VS Iron Sheik It took three attempts of his favorite move before the Sheik got the victory in this one. Iron Sheik won with his finisher-CAMEL CLUTCH in a time of 9:10.
MATCH 2: Bubba Ray Dudley VS Kevin Nash (with Scott Hall) In a masterful bit of trickery, Nash made sure the ref caught Bubba Ray breaking the rules here. Kevin Nash won when Bubba Ray was disqualified in a time of 5:02.
MATCH 3: Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart (Hart Foundation with Jimmy Hart) VS Headhunters A & B (with Ed Wiskowski) The usually cool-headed Bret Hart got a bit hot under the collar here as the Headhunters won. The Headhunters won when Bret Hart was disqualified against Headhunter B in a time of 15:23.
MATCH 4: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat VS Freebird Terry Gordy (with Michael Hayes) This was a quick win for Steamboat, as Hayes got involved early to give The Dragon a win. Ricky Steamboat won when Terry Gordy was disqualified for outside interference in a time of 4:19.
MATCH 5: Brock Lesnar VS "Stone Cold" Steve Austin It took using his favorite move two times in a row for Lesnar to win this match-up. Brock Lesnar won when he used his finisher--F-5 two times in a row in a time of 6:32.
MATCH 6: Kevin Von Erich VS Freebird Buddy Roberts -- Texas Death Match An easy win for Kevin here, as Roberts did not muster much offense during the bout. Kevin Von Erich won with a Standing Dropkick in a time of 5:51.
MATCH 7: Giant Baba VS Hollywood Hogan In the usual comeback fashion, Hogan got the win here with his favorite move. Hollywood Hogan won with his finisher-LEG DROP in a time of 15:30.
MATCH 8: AWE Television Champion Kerry Von Erich (with Fritz Von Erich) VS Jack Brisco -- Non-title In a good match, Kerry came away with a deserving victory in this non-title bout. Kerry Von Erich won with a Small Package in a time of 7:29.
MATCH 9: Fritz Von Erich VS Steve "Mongo" McMichael (with Ed Wiskowski) Ignoring the ref's warnings too many times, Mongo was DQed to give Fritz the victory. Fritz Von Erich won when Steve McMichael was disqualified in a time of 8:52.
MATCH 10: AWE X-Treme Champion Lex Luger VS Jimmy Snuka -- TITLE BOUT Never fully recovering from an early Superfly Death Leap, Luger fell as Snuka got the Belt! Jimmy Snuka won with a Powerslam in a time of 22:13, thus Jimmy Snuka became the NEW AWE X-Treme Champion!

"Rock, The Ravishing One is here for one reason: to take that Belt from you! It's all over for you now, Rock! Rick Rude is going to make your life a living hell!"
