Romance? You are getting romance from this? It's not even a little bit intriguing to figure out what is going on? And how it leads to Hollywood Underground? Maybe my storytelling isn't as it once was.

You are standing in a parking lot. A few other well-dressed men are milling about. You know you are at the right spot. There is a spatter of conversation from tiny groups around you. Everyone is wearing dark shades. You should have bought a pair yourself you are thinking.
You were told to be here and the time as well from the woman who gave you the pen. After you left the lobby of the building she was waiting for you. She didn't say it twice. Just the time and place. And then she left on her way to doing whatever it is that she does.
A dark mini bus with tinted windows stopped and its door opened. You followed everyone else on board and you found an empty seat in the middle of the bus.
No one was checking you out, which you were grateful for. Your medallion was on display over your neck tie. You did notice that there were different styles of medallions, but that everyone was wearing one.
The bus traveled no more than a couple blocks before it came to stop at a corner. A man stepped into the bus and told everyone that "it was time." He was handing out dark hoods and you saw the men ahead of you pulling them over their heads. After you accepted your hood you did it too. It was total darkness. You could not see anything at all. But you could still hear those around you.
"Thank you for your cooperation, gentlemen. You must keep this on until you arrive at the destination, at which time the driver will stand up and let you know you can remove the hoods. See you guys there!"
You heard the man retreat and his footsteps went down the steps of the bus and you heard the driver pull the door closed with the handle.
More to come...

You are inside a darkened room. You don't know where. The bus entered some underground parking area and when you were allowed to exit and look around you didn't recognize your surroundings. Everyone was split up in groups, you are supposing the kind of medallion you possessed determined that.
The room was lit with only a dim light against the wall. You shared the room with a handful of others. You did not know them and you did not believe they were on the same bus as you were. You were instructed to put on a dark robe and hood by a person who just showed his face in the doorway. Everyone in the room found the robe their size and dressed.
"Is this far out or what?" a man with blond hair asked you. He was a good looking man. Short hair, dimpled cheeks. He would make a nice looking woman you thought. But he had a kind voice and his smile was infectious. His blue eyes seemed to sparkle from the dim light. He held out his hand and you shook it. His grip was firm and his nails were manicured. The golden bracelet around his wrist dangled loosely as if it was too large for his wrist. You nodded in agreement.
Within ten minutes the man came again and at that time everyone in the room pulled the dark hood over their heads. The hood had eye holes so you could see everything. Your group was lead down a hallway and everyone boarded a elevator. None of the numbers on the wall was illuminated so after the door slid closed you were not sure where you were going.
The elevator stopped and you walked out amid talking and laughter throughout the lobby where everyone gathered. Everyone was arrayed in robes and hoods. But the robes and hoods were different colors. Some were black, like you wore, others were red, green, purple, blue and white.
"Welcome to Hollywood Underground!" a man said for all to hear. "Now let's have some freaken fun! Open the doors, and let's let the evening begin!"
A couple wooden doors opened and everyone moved toward and through to the room beyond.
More to come...

You are led to a round table and you sit down. The room is dark but you can faintly see round tables around the room. White table clothes and clean bright white dinner plates are on each. You notice people around you removing their hoods. You do the same. In the middle of the room is a stage-like area. Sounds of people talking filled the room. And you saw waitresses moving from table to table writing down orders from the men who sat there. That's right, all men. The only women you see are those in waitress uniforms.
Around you sat 3 other men. They seemed to know one another and talked about things they were interested in. You didn't really pay much attention to their conversations. Your eyes were dancing from table to table seeing if you could recognize any faces. In the viewing area that you could actually make out faces you didn't know any.
You asked for a foreign beer when the waitress asked what you wanted to drink. Those around you looked at you like you were completely off your rocker. And they howled in laughter. Even the waitress couldn't hide her giggles behind her hand.
"Son, we only serve Pabst Blue Ribbon here! Some foreign crap - what a laugh!" said the man to your right.
Well that went well. Now everyone knows this is your first time here.
Twenty minutes into your meal - which consisted of the most tender steak you ever ate in your life - and PBR, with a side of other delectable food, a man walked onto the stage and a spotlight enveloped his figure. The entire stage was lit up. The man, who you didn't know, tapped the microphone in his hand and he welcomed everyone to Hollywood Underground. He was hoping we are enjoying our fine meal and then he introduced someone who would perform a few of his hit songs for our enjoyment.
"...so put your hands together and let's all welcome the incomparable Sammy Davis Junior!"
Wow, that sure was unexpected, you thought. Actually you would never conceive that any of this would come about by you simply picking up a business card on the street.
Sammy seemed to enjoy himself and he made a few jokes between his songs. He was a delight. After a half hour he took his bow to much applause before he was helped from the stage and he shook hands with the person who introduced him and waved one last time to the room before he disappeared in the darkness on the opposite side of the room.
More to come...

Well, as with everything else, this Fed is on hiatus for a bit.
Maybe I relied too much on Desktop?
Now that the website is gone and Desktop 2 was a flop and left in a crippled state on another download site it appears maybe I did.
As much good as Tom does, putting pressure on Desktop really sucks, and it has put a damper on what this great game COULD be. But sometimes a person puts a dollar bill on everything...and he does have that right, but still this put an end to a great - and free (other than the time put in) way of experiencing the game and enjoying it.
