After one round the action is as tight as a drum! The GWF Team leads with 33 points after sending 9 wrestlers to the next round. In second place, the aCe Team is not far behind with 28 points also sending 9 wrestlers to the next round. In third place, the POW Team had a rough first half of brackets, but bounced back in the later, managing to score 26 points and are in the thick of things sending 8 wrestlers to the next round. In last place, but certainly not out of it yet, the GWFZ Team has 20 points sending 6 wrestlers to the next round.

Team GWFZ is on the outside looking in as they sent the least amount of wrestlers to the next round. They need some big wins from them in order to stay alive and get back into this thing. They managed to get some huge wins in the first round, coming from behind to get it. But a wins a win and they’re points for the team!

Team POW stumbled out of the gates, dropping some matches that they were expected to win. However, in the second bracket, they came back winning some solid matches and scoring some big points.

Team aCe had a good first round. This appears to be the best showing the aCe has put forth in all the Invitational’s they have been in before! They could very well win this tournament as they are toe to toe with the GWF in points and wrestlers in the next round!

Team GWF is showing why they are considered the best promotion in the galaxy! They have romped and stomped their way through the first round where everyone on the GWF Team wrestled great. They are in solid control in first place and they can really only beat themselves at this point. If they lose this tournament, this could really be a black eye for them! Believe me, the other three teams here would love nothing more than to knock off the GWF here today!

In a TURNBUCKLE SHOCK MATCH: The Bomb (GWF) beat The Puma (POW) with Bombs Away DDT. GWF = 14 pts.

Darkseed (aCe) beat Muss (GWF) with BELLY OF THE BEAST! ACE = 14 pts.

Big action for the 2nd round. The GWF continues to be impressive in the tournament! Team GWF is still in first after this round with 102 points. The aCe team is in second with 84 points with Team POW close behind them in third with 82 points. Team GWFZ is struggling still as they are in last place with 60 points.

Even with some big wins for the GWFZ Team, they still can’t seem to make up any ground on the leader! Only sending half of their six wrestlers, the “Z” sends 3 wrestlers to the Sweet Sixteen! The “Z” will have to have their three all win this next round in order to stay alive in the Team Points hunt!

Team POW has had an up and down tournament thus far. Even with their downsides, they have managed to stay within striking distance! They managed to get 4 of their 8 into the Sweet Sixteen. If Team POW wants to get in contention with the GWF, they will for sure have to win their matches, especially against any GWF wrestlers! That might be easier said than done at this point!?

Team aCe continues their impressive tournament run. But they still can’t seem to catch Team GWF! The aCe team lost some key matches against the GWF in the second round. But they did manage to hold off the POW to hang on to that second place spot! They also sent 4 of their 9 to the Sweet Sixteen!

Team GWF is on a roll. They won where they really needed, and keeping ahead of the pack. Even with some key losses, they managed to get some big upset wins that balanced it out. Team GWF sent 5 of the 9 to the Sweet Sixteen and look to have this tournament in hand! As long as they don’t give any matches away and continue their great wrestling, Team GWF is on their way to capturing their first Invitational Team Title!

Wow, The POW are on a roll as they just went from third place to first place scoring 143 points in the Sweet Sixteen round! Team GWF is now in second place with 130 points! Team GWFZ moves into third place with 88 points and Team aCe has dropped into last place with 84 points.

Team POW was impressive in the Sweet Sixteen. They are now in the drivers seat as they control their own destiny! They sent all 4 of their wrestlers to the Excellent Eight Round! that’s huge as no other team has done that!

Team GWF hopes they can have a better Excellent Eight as they only sent 2 of the 5 wrestlers they had in the Sweet Sixteen to the next round. However, one of those was destined to be out as they had Rush vs. Havoc, both on Team GWF. In order for the GWF to get back into it, they’ll need Paralyze to beat Raze and Havoc to get a big win over Narcotik from Team GWFZ!? Tough climb to the top if you ask me!

Team GWFZ has again surprised some folks here! Narcotik upset Godsend to move on to the Excellent Eight and Umagapotamus gets by Betrayer to move on. Both are going to have their hands full as Umagapotamus meets Shylock and Narcotik will face off against a tough Havoc! They could gain some ground if they can win those matches!

Team aCe is now out of it! Guaranteed a last place finish in what was a promising start! All 4 of their wrestlers that were left lost in the Sweet Sixteen. No more points can the aCe collect and Team GWFZ already passed them up for third. The aCe team is definitely disappointed as they were really wanting to prove that they belong with these other brands!

EXCELLENT EIGHT:

In an ADAMANTIUM FISTS MATCH: Havoc (GWF) beat Narcotik (Z) with FALLEN DREAMS! GWF = 18 pts.
Raze (POW) beat Paralyze (GWF) with AWAKENING! POW = 18 pts.

Shylock (POW) beat Umagapotamus (Z) by disqualification. POW = 15 pts.
Zed Marlowe (POW) beat Sabeteur (POW) with a corkscrew plancha. POW = 17 pts.

Team POW is still in the lead with 193 points! In a distant second is the GWF with 148 points. Third place will be Team GWFZ with 88 points. and of course the aCe in last with 84 points.

Pretty much the POW will win the team competition and take their own Invitational. The only hope for the GWF to save some face is to have Havoc go all the way and win the tournament to even come close to the POW. The GWFZ is out of it now, and will have to settle for third place.

Final Four is set with Havoc taking on Raze and for the battle of bragging rights, Shylock will square off against Zed Marlowe for the right to go to the finals! Stay tuned fans, it’s not over yet!
